The word comes via the Lions' official website. Coach Jim Schwartz refused to comment on Megatron's status, but he played the entire game in Sunday's win over the Rams. Reporter Tim Twentyman believes it was simply a day of rest. Until you hear otherwise, assume Johnson will be full-go against the 49ers.

Megatron said the missed practice time isn't a concern. "Foot’s good," Johnson said. "It felt good today to get out there, stretch it out a little bit." Just like last week, Johnson's missed reps aren't a concern heading into the weekend. He's the top-rated receiver in Chris Wesseling and Mike Clay's Week 3 rankings.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz says Calvin Johnson is "plowing through" his knee injury.

"He didn’t practice a few days last week," Schwartz said Monday. "It’s midseason in the NFL." Johnson confirmed his knee was bothering him during his three-catch performance Sunday afternoon, but like Schwartz, didn't give any indication it's worsening or becoming a long-term concern. Johnson's practice reps figure to be extremely limited this week, but as usual, he'll be a top-three fantasy option against the Jaguars.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday Countdown that Calvin Johnson (knee, questionable) is expected to start Sunday's game at Jacksonville.

Mort said nothing about a limited role, or Johnson perhaps only playing on third downs, as Pro Football Weekly suggested in a Saturday report. "League sources say he is determined to play and is expected to start," Mort reported Sunday morning. Look for Johnson to be active and start against the Jags, with his exact snap count perhaps being determined on a game-flow basis. We'd recommend keeping Megatron locked into fantasy lineups.

Calvin Johnson (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

No surprise here. Johnson is in full maintenance mode and may not practice at all this week. That's the path he took to last week's game and he ended up playing 83 percent of the snaps and posting a 6/111/0 line in the first half. Megatron can safely be penciled into Week 10 lineups.

Calvin Johnson said his sore knee is in better shape this week than last.

"Definitely feeling better than it was at this point last week, so that's positive," Johnson said. "It really won't be better playing on it. It's just maintaining." Johnson admits a three-game stretch in 12 days will be a "grind," but he proved last week that he could still play at a high level while injured.
